FSU Spring Football – Game (and Party) On

For Florida State University football fans, spring is one of their favorite of the year’s four “seasons.”  You know – football season, spring football season, recruiting season and pre-season practice.

This spring’s version culminates April 11-13 with a weekend-long party packed with festive highlights – a beerfest, rocking entertainment with a downtown Block Party, food truck rally, fireworks, tailgating and more.  And yes, there’s the annual Spring Football Game Saturday, April 13 at 2 PM in Doak Campbell Stadium.

In a sense, it’s a weekend “workout” for fans too.  It tests their party preparation and conditioning for celebrating another Atlantic Coast Conference season after last year’s 12-2 finish capped with a resounding Orange Bowl win.

Make plans now.  Your spot on the fans’ depth chart depends on it.

  • April 11 – Capital City Beerfest presented by Hunter Harp at the University Center Club Terraces, 6-9 PM
  • April 12 – Friday Night Block Party, 5-10 PM. Stage One on Kleman Plaza features Valory Music Records artist Thomas Rhett along with Houston Deese. Stage Two in the Kleman Plaza green space will be converted into Howl at the Moon Tallahassee with a dueling piano team from Orlando. Stage Three on the Adams Street Commons features Ocean Street from Nashville. A Food Truck Rally along College Avenue, vendors along Kleman Plaza and Adams Street and evening ending fireworks add to the fun. For added flavor, there’s a 6 PM game at Dick Howser Stadium between FSU and Duke.
  • April 13 – Tailgate lots open at 9 AM with the FSU Spring Football Game starting at 2 PM. Then move to Dick Howser Stadium for a 6 PM game between FSU and Duke.
